    Denali is one
    of denalithe interesting places to go in the world. There are many large herbivores and plant life. They interact with the tundra/taigaecosystem and create a living environment with the predators. The climate and other environmental factors, as well as the producers and consumers effect the ecosystem and how it interacts with the other ecosystems around it. Denali is part of two biomes, the taiga biome and the tundra biome. It's unique placement makes it a wonderful place to visit to see amazing and breathtaking sites as well as using its resources and just experiencing it all. The wildlife found in Denali have been accustomed to the long winters and there are many birds that migrate up in the spring. A very interesting fact is that Denali has one amphibean and it is the wood frog. The lynx and the snowshoe hare are the animals that have a prey-predator relationship that is contiuous and dependent of the population. Moose and caribou also have interactions with wolves and bears that limit the population and show a role of predation. One of the animals that Denali has is the Peregrine Falcon - once an endangered bird. It is one of the few species that have been helped by the banning of DDT. DDT was a pollutant that has caused eggshells of the falcon to become fragile enough to be broken easily. Now they are in Denali in good numbers and can be seen here, whenever you come visit. Even though there is evidence of human impact, the park staff have tried to keep it contained and make Denali a better place. It preserves wildlife as well as be a park for the famour Mt. McKinley, the largest mountain in North America. Whatever season it is or however crowded it is, we have a place for you. There are many events at the park as well as local events that will help you understand what a great place Denali is and can be.

    Primary succession occurs on bare, lifeless substrate, such as rocks, or in open water, where organisms gradually move into an area and change its nature. It is a very slow process and takes a few hundreds of years. In the pioneer stages of primary succession, bare rock becomes covered with lichens and mosses. The a field grows, which causes shrubs and small trees to take over that area. The next stages are made up of seeds of trees being carried by wind and growing into pine, birch. and aspen trees. The trees dominate the fields. The final stages of primary succession have the other types of trees thrive and grow, and a coniferous forest is then "complete".
    Secondary succession occurs in areas where an existing community has been disturbed but the soil still remains. Secondary succession typically follow fires, recession of glaciers, and changes in stream channels. In the result of a fire (because lighting fires are natural) it releases nutrients in the leaf litter of coniferous needles which enriches the soil. The fires releases seeds by causing cones to burst open. Although you would expect it to take a while for the plants to grow in the burned area, it grows and sprouts fast. Plants go through the approximately the same stages as primary succession's later stages. Plant secondary succession is also evident following the melting of permafrost and resulting distribution of the ground surface.
